The hike up to the peak is tough! But the scenery and views are spectacular.
This is a long and challenging hike in the mountains. You should prepare accordingly.
- Bring At least 3L of water.
- Snacks help to keep your energy up on this long hike.
- Trekking Poles will be helpful on the rocky slopes.
- Bring extra layers in case it's cold and windy at the summit.
Enjoy the scenery at the long, gradual climb to Icehouse Saddle. Then the middle section mostly flat but has some ups and downs. And then the final climb up to Cucamonga Peak, which is steep and has about a dozen switchbacks.
Have fun and stay safe.
