I arrived at Icehouse Trailhead at 6:20am on Monday, August 28th. The weather in the morning was a good temperature, although as the day progressed, it increasingly got more hot. The hardest part of the hike was the last mile to the summit. Be prepared for a lot of switchbacks before reaching the top! I arrived at Cucamonga Peak at around 10:00 am. As a photographer, I do take my time on my hikes. Specifically, I walk at a slower pace so I don't miss any photogenic spots.

The view from the top is incredible. You could see all of San Bernardino, Los Angeles & some of the coast. I stayed for about an hour really taking my time so I could capture the true beauty of my view from above. The hike down was easy, however I was very hot. The temperature ranged from the low to mid 90s. Luckily, I was able to cool down once I reached a small river.

I arrived back at my car at 3:00pm feeling very satisfied with what I was able to accomplish. This was the first of six I'm doing for the challenge. My goal is to do all six peaks in six weeks. The photos I took are unedited, so check out my instagram in the near future if you want to see more!
