Started quite a bit later then planned at 830am and boy was it super hot. Between lack of sleep, high altitude, heat, and already being a hard hike, it was pretty rough going for me. Almost considered quitting several times especially near the peak when a bee decided to stalk me. Wasted alot of energy speed walking up/down/sideways/in circles to get rid of it 😂. It was pretty buggy, got a few bites through my leggings, but the bugs didn't swarm like at Mt Wilson. Bring lots of water! I sweat easily and brought 3L of water and ran out w/ 3 miles left 😬. I feel like I enjoyed this hike alot more 6 yrs ago. Think it was multiple factors that just made this an off day for me. But as always, it felt really good to make it to the peak!
