We started our day around 5:30ish while it was still fairly dark out. The weather was perfect, felt like fall was here. A bit windy, but it felt good. Seeing the fall foliage was such a treat. Parts of the trail are really rocky and can be a little uneasy feeling. We saw a good number of people out & even a few dogs. The last mile and a half to the peak was a bit rough, but thankfully we made it. Absolutely worth it for the view! Getting to sit on a rock overlooking everything and snacking a way was so perfect for a little refresh. Going back down was fine, but again the last mile and a half  I was so ready to be back in my car and sitting! Challenging hike, but so thankful to complete it. We ended the day with 13.68 miles under our belts(which is a little more then expected) with all of the previous posts we’ve seen. Wowza!
