This was my first peak! The trail was fantastic but it was hot and smoggy today. I’ve been training  in the local foothills so it was so nice to be in the pines and mountain scape. However, the rapid elevation gain kicked my butt. Thousands of ladybugs were inflight at the lower elevation. By the way, I arrived at the trailhead at 0610 and it was full, so I parked down the road. Keep on trucking!
