Trail conditions were fine, but a bit crowded at times. Weather was nice and not too hot. I went with a group but decided to stay with the sweep on this hike and take a slower approach to the summit to avoid joint and muscle fatigue which I received on the previous hike to the peak of Mt. Wilson. I had also used my hiking poles for this hike and used techniques that I picked up from some YouTube videos. It payed off and I was simply tired without the pain. The hike was beautiful and my fellow hiking companions were wonderful and entertaining. One hiker in the group was about to turn back, but we spurred her on and slowed our pace so that we could reach the summit together. It was a delight to reach the top and see a similar view of that from a person ready to skydive. To see the smiles on my fellow hikers face, especially the woman who considered turning back, was equally rewarding. This is definitely one of my favorite hiking locations.
