When I arrived, the parking lot was empty. I had the trail to myself! Perfect for freehike #3 of my challenge. It was a chilly 46 degrees hiking up the canyon, but it warmed up after the sun hit me at the saddle. The trail was clear of snow, except for the last mile to the summit. I didn't use microspikes or trekking poles going up, but I was glad for the trekking poles going down to help crossing the few remaining snow sections. This was a good training hike to get ready for World Naked Hiking Day later this month.
