First time hiking Cuyamaca peak. I arrived early around 0700 excited to run most of the hike. I was virtually alone. Only 6 other hikers, and they had left for a trail. I stretched and hydrated, then looked for a map. I was too eager to get started. Failed to find the appropriate map and trail. Instead followed the other set of hikers. As I started my run I came across a sign that said ‘StoneWall' peak. I paid it no mind. Figured “hey I'm in Cuyamaca and they probably call Cuyamaca peak StoneWall as well.” So… I just kept running.

The hike was amazing. I was engulfed by nature. Man and nature… Nature and man…

To be continued…
