The Lookout Fire Road up to the peak was in very good condition and it was very quiet on a Sunday morning. I also encountered a few other hikers. I had planned to take the fire road up and back, but decided instead to head back to the campground via the Conejos / Azalea Glen trail instead. I'm glad I did! It was a longer hike but I got to see more of the park and it was nice to hike on a dirt trail. Parts of this trail are VERY rocky, though. All in all, a great hike. I look forward to visiting Cuyamaca Rancho State Park again!
