I did this is the rain and I cannot say I recommend it for the faint hearted. The trail turns into a drainage so I was ankle deep a few times without any way to avoid it. It was hailing and violent wind warnings for the peak. I was the only soul on the trail that day. Definitely type 2 fun for me that day.
