Took the Azalea Glen Trail on the way up and then the Cojones Trail (which is steep and rocky but with good views), before coming out onto the paved access road at o.5 miles from the top. Seemed to have the mountain to myself. Took the paved road for about 1.5 miles on the way down but then cut off to the left and followed various trails (including the Azalea Glenn Trail) for the rest of the descent.
Lots of flowers near the summit with a lovely stand of lupines under the trees near the top. So many butterflies; I was amazed at the number of different species on display. Of course a lot of flies, gnats etc, but didn't seem to be of the biting persuasion.
