It’s quite a drive to San Diego’s second highest peak but an adventurous day with friends. Very chilly morning when we started at 7:30am 30+ temps, some patches of snow along the trails, muddy and icy in some areas specially near the top on fire road. Micro spikes not needed but use caution going up and down with hiking poles. No summit sign at the top but there’s a geological marker. Enjoyed the amazing views and had lunch to refuel before descending. Great day was had hiking, 11 miles logged with 2,021 ft elevation gain.
Summit strong, one peak at a time ⛰????
