I took the Azela Glen Loop route up then the fire road back down. It was very surreal to see all of the burnt trees from the forest fire some years ago yet I did see many new saplings new growing as a sign of new beginnings.
I began shortly after it started getting light from the campground area.. The weather at the start was in the fifties and when I returned it just hit the seventies.. This was the perfect time to go during August I got lucky. Loved the hike!
