There is a two-mile dirt road to the trail head. Recommended for mid clearance vehicles only, and I wouldn't suggest going when it's muddy. The trail itself was absolutely beautiful. The flowers were in bloom all along the trail and they were really gorgeous. There are multiple viewpoints along the trail, but I will say this one was pretty steep from the beginning to about two-thirds of the way in. The trail flattened out a bit but returned to a good incline at the end for a nice little burner. The peak has views all around and of course the ammunitions case with a Bonanza Peak sign. The elevation always gets me!
