I have actually done this trail once before, in November of 2022. But doing it this time around, it was like it was a whole different hike. The snowfall this year was a large amount, so even though we did this hike in July there was still a decent amount of snow, but that didn't stop us. There are parts where the snow could be very iffy. We decided to make it fun and slide down the glissades to make it less scary and more fun. Even though there was snow it was still hot, but the snow made it perfect for the doggos because they would roll in the snow to cool off and there were streams for them to drink out of. The snow by the summit was all melted which is the only worry we had going up, so that wasn't an issue at all. LOTS of flies at the top, but unlike other hikes they weren't biting so they were just an annoyance. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS every inch of this hike and having friends from different states join along was super fun. Love Deseret Peak and I love UTAH.
