It was hot and hotter, as you'd expect on thhis almost summer solstice day. We started at 8:30 hoping to hit six peaks on Mount Diablo, but the heat got the best of me and we only made the summit and three other peaks. Rattlesnakes were out enjoying the day. Made it back just after sunset, but the ranger was kind and congratulated is on our epic hike. Even though I took a good amount of water, I still ran out before we reached the summit too refill. Wear a hat and bring more water than you think you'll need. Be careful out there!
