the trail at the lower elevations was absolutely gorgeous, sun, no bugs and little wind. deadfall lake is beautiful this time of year. however at higher elevations we ran into heavy 30+ mile winds little visibility and some light hail. the high winds and freezing temperatures at the summit were unbearable and our party had to quickly turn around and head back down.
