This was probably the hardest trail I have done yet, it was a steep climb all the way to the top. Take your time to get to the top it's a tough climb.
Saw a rangale of dear which was cool. This trail has plenty of cover in the trees pretty much all the way to the top. When you get to the last .3 miles you will pretty much have to make your own path the trail is invisible with all the small rocks so just treads lightly.
Once you pass the shelter you have to ditch the tecking poles and climb over the giant boulders to the peak. The peak was super windy and cold so be prepared.
On the way back down we strapped the trecking poles on our bags and just went the long way back down. Didn't need the poles on the way down. A word for the wise as the sun went down the valley got really cold so be prepared if this hike takes you into the evening hours.
Met a lot of cool people on this trail, a few of them were hiking the PCT trail that crosses through the mountain.
