What a way to spend Easter! My husband, dirty dog (from playing in the streams) had a good time hiking to the top of Mt. Wilson. The trail was busy and everyone super friendly. No views of the city as it was cloudy. Probably the most notable thing was how close fire came to the top of Mt. Wilson. It was eerie walking through the burn area. The only recommendation I would have for others who have not done this hike is to be sure to check out the detailed directions on hikingguy.com. We found them very helpful.
I'm a bit stiff today, but I'll be ready for peak #2 soon!
