Sooooo, I was not sure if I was going to count this one or not..But here I am.
This is a different type of hike forsure. It was steep with 2000 ft of elevation gain, but how did this count as a “Peak”.. The view was nice, and the trail was very well defined and kept. But I did not find this to be a challenge that would go in a category with San Bernardino or San Gorgonio Peak. The other hikers on this trail lacked proper hiking etiquette, and that to me indicated that this was more of a casual attraction rather than a hike to conquer. Waiting in line for 20 minutes to take a picture seemed silly to me, but as the saying goes, if you didn't take a picture, did it really happen? This was a nice experience and I would do the hike again, but I would not consider this to be my 6th peak in the challenge.
For anyone doing this hike in the future, I do recommend more common courtesy to those taking a picture. The photo-op is the attraction of this adventure, and for all the eager-beavers hovering around the rocks and getting close to the edge while someone else is up there taking pictures, is bad-mannered.
