The trail is fabulous, I just took the wrong one. What should have been nice and easy turned into a 13.5 mile day. The trail is nicely balanced with plenty of up, down, and flat. The beginning is a decent incline, and once you get to the top you realize that you are about two ridges away from the mountain you are supposed to climb. Haha, oops. It is gorgeous though, good weather with a light breeze around 11:30, lots of shade, and dry. We did see some wildlife and encountered a deer that didn't want to yield the trail. The pup spent the next 1/4 mile trying to get off the leash to chase.
