What a finish to the six-pack! We were not expecting the degree of difficulty in rock-hopping and bouldering for two-thirds of the hike. Super proud of my wife; she was fully prepared to wait for us below “the wall” because her fear of heights and fear of falling was a firm stopping point. The rest of us scaled the most sketchy part of the climb, took some quick picks and went back to meet her. Lo and behold, along comes this great guy (Dean) who had made the summit 77 times, and he coached her through her fears and through the toughest and scariest ascents. In the end, our whole group (Eric, Sarah, Haley, Mariah, Dawn, and I) made the summit, enjoyed a picnic lunch, and then began the arduous trek back down the mountain. Quite the accomplishment. Dean left us with the life advice…”Don't fear the challenge, challenge the fear!”
