This was the second of two hikes for the day. My twin sister and I hiked Elden in the morning then attempted to hike Bill Williams. Unfortunately, it was closed due to the high risk of wildfires, so we made our way to Kendrick. There were very few people on the trail and a nice cool breeze so it was very relaxing. We had the summit to ourselves. The watchtower was closed due to COVID, but the views were still spectacular. We stretched out and rested on the helicopter pad for a while, just soaking up the sun and enjoying the sound of the wind and birds. It was a great day. Between the two hikes, we traveled 15 miles with about 5,000 feet elevation gain.
