Snow:

Intermittent snow – not hard to cross

Going up through Devil’s Backbone was wonderful. Coming down through Baldy Notch was exhausting. It was a steep hike back down and while it did cut off three miles, my hiking buddy and I agreed that next time we’ll just do the out-and-back. There were a couple patches of snow, but they were pretty well trodded so no spikes or crampons were needed. I highly recommend bringing poles, because they were a life saver. Not too much wind on the peak. So, it was pretty peaceful . I absolutely loved it!
