Trio of San Diego peaks in a single day:
1. El Cajon Mountain
2. Mount Woodon
3. Volcan Mountain
Started at the Ramona trailhead since it was closer to El Cajon Mtn than the Poway side. Parked on a side street across from the trailhead since both sides of the road was full of cars. Weather was much warmer at this time. Made it up to the top, the true summit, which most people incorrectly think is the potato chip rock. Descended a bit and waited in the “potato chip” line for about 30 minutes before we took our typical Woodson photos. Made it back down to the car for a quick break before heading on to the next. The sketchiest part of the hike was crossing the highway, trying to avoid oncoming traffic, waiting at the center divide, and crossing again… 2 times (start and finish of hike).
