Bagged #6 of the Six-Pack of Peaks Challenge! Took the Azalea Glen trail till it connected to the fire road. The fire road is finished but there is still some equipment along the sides. On the weekend there was no work being done so we pushed on to the top. The fire road is pretty steep and there is no shade but the views from the top were stunning. The day was warm but there was a nice breeze at the top. Due to afternoon time constraints we took the fire road back to Paso Picacho campground/day use but my recommendation is to get off that road as soon as you can and enjoy nature. Will love to do this hike again in the fall in cooler temps and with time to explore other trails. Was nice to complete #6 in San Diego. There are two more to do in San Diego but they are closed due to COVID and summer heat. Will see what comes up! Great day!
