The weather was perfect and this trail is nice because it was a gradual steady incline most of the way. Unfortunately, we got to the summit after dark but did get to see the beautiful sunset on the way up. It was pretty cold in a little scary coming down in the dark so that's a lesson learned. We camped at dry lake and were the only ones on a Friday night. Lots of beautiful sites from the Meadows to the dry lake, to the white rocks, and even the reminents from the plane crash. The consistent gradual incline made carrying the 30 pound bag of camping gear pretty pleasant. The cold night hike down and sleeping was really the only part that hurt a little. Glad to have accomplished it.
