Snow did not show up until we were about 3.5 miles up from trail head. Most of the snow turned mush on our way down. There were a few on their motorcycle but did not go up past the gate as it was closed. There was one cyclist that made it to the tower and a runner just before we left. There were no other hikers around. We had the trail mostly to ourselves. We saw bird tracks and potentially a raccoon track.
