It was a beautiful sunny day after days of rain and lower than normal temps. The snow level was very low, which meant deep snow up in the higher elevations. The trail had a 3 to 5 foot base and consisted of sweet powder. Without snowshoes you would posthole up to you thigh or hips. The views were spectacular and the trails empty. The perfect day!
