It could not have been more beautiful. If it wasn’t such a long drive I would hike this area all the time. I was curious about Sawmill but bagged Mt Pinos and Mt Grouse as well. I chatted with other hikers at the summit for over an hour- I could have stayed all day. The altitude was not a problem due to many activities at elevation. There was plenty of parking.
