What a hike!! Let me start by saying we just got back to hiking this week after being off for two weeks which that saying; we weren't that prepared. It's worth every sore muscle we have. Plus Mother Nature was being wonderful to us.

Don't underestimate this mountain at all. It clearly the best butt kicker trail that I will be returning during cooler temperatures. Even though there's very tall pines; you'll get some shade throughout the trail; however, around noon it's most direction sunlight. Lesson learn 82°F with direction sun is HOT!!

With monsoon season on the raise, we lucked out. As we got to the lookout; we could see the clouds getting darker and coming in. This made the hike more beautiful but we have to be more caution. Our daughter is carried in a hard frame carrier making it asking Mother Nature to “Please be nice and allow us to make it back to the car safe!” There was a few drops.

Can't wait to return in the fall!!
