Another solo hike for me! I was initially anxious to hike this trail by myself since it didn't look like a highly trafficked trail, but it wasn't that scary in real life. Although I was the only one in the trail for most of my hike, I didn't feel unsafe. It was spooky in some parts since I hiked on a cloudy day and visibility wasn't ideal, but the cooler weather was pleasant. I did come home to numerous insect (hoping it's only a mosquito) bites though! Also, bummed that I didn't see the view from the top of the summit.

Good morning Camille, I lead a hiking group of people trying to complete the Six-Pack of Peaks for 2022. We will be hiking Hot Springs Mtn on Oct 22. Our group conversations make the hikes feel shorter so that’s a plus. Let me know and I will fwd you the email with the hike details.

No problem, we have El Cajon on Oct 29th and High Point on Nov 6th in case you are able to join. After that, I will reschedule hikes that some of my team members missed due to scheduling conflicts. We also liked Volcan Mtn so much that we wanted to do a snow hike if we get any snowfall during winter.
Oh I like the idea of doing the snow hike. I’ve never done that before, so I’d like to try at some point. Let me know if your team decides to do it!
We’ll see what the weather wishes. As soon as I see snow in the forecast I will notify everyone. Enjoy the rest of the hikes, they have been very rewarding for our group.
