It was a very nice day to hike San Jacinto, but I was worried that it was a Saturday and would be too busy to enjoy it. For right now, you can't buy Tram tickets online, so you just have to show up and see if you can get one. The first Tram goes up at 8:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday; 10:00 the rest of the week. I wanted those extra couple of hours start, so selected Saturday even though it was later than I normally start. Got to the Tram about 7:30, no issue getting a ticket, and Tram left right at 8:00. Masks were required in the building and on the Tram.
This is a really nice hike, trails were good and I only met a half dozen people on the way up. Once I reached the peak there were quite a few people there, but once I left I ran into a lot of folks coming up.
All in all this was enjoyable, temps were fine, not windy, all good.
Took 4 liters of water, but used less than 3.
Oddly enough, I see I hit my max pulse, rushing up the ramp back to the Tram because I could see it was getting ready to leave.
