For our last and “toughest” hike, San Gorgonio was surprisingly one of my easier summits. The toughest part of this hike is not sore legs or anything, as it’s a nice and gradual ascend, it’s more the time (we took 9 hours and that we were both ready to be back home after about 6). Tip for future hikers: BRING A WINDBREAKER FOR THE TOP!! My dad and I both prefer to hike in shorts and a shirt so the top was windy to say the least, and once you cross over from the orange looking trail to the final 2 miles, it’s gets cold and windy enough to ensure my 120lb frame was thrown all around. However, we did it, and I’ve never felt more proud of myself for finally completing the six pack of peaks!
