Started hiking around 6:15 am, after crossing Mill Creek the next mile was a wake up, yes you have a long ways to go. Going through Vivian Creek are was pleasant and offered a chance to catch my breath. If only Halfway Camp was halfway. Just before reaching the ridge I started getting jelly legs, but overcame and made it to the summit, 6 hours after starting. Water is available at High Creek Camp. The summit reminds me of a moon walk. On the return trip, towards the end, the rocky trail started bothering my feet, was very happy and relieved to reach the parking lot. There are bathrooms and water at the trail head. This challenge has given me the courage to go out and hike alone, I have seen sights that have left me in awe. I will continue exploring what So Cal has to offer.
