I hiked with my dog and I was a bit worried reading that there are some class 3 sections – she's a strong climber but she's a small dog so the height of obstacles can be an issue. She actually handled them pretty well and I just had to life her up a few ledges.
We just beat the rain! It was cloudy the whole way up which I thought looked really nice with the scenery. On the hike down there was mist coming in, and by the time I was in my car it was properly raining.
The trail was honestly really hard to follow. I lost it and re-found it quite a few times over the course of the hike. It didn't feel like there was much danger of getting properly lost since you can see the peak all along, it was just more difficult climbing and navigating off-trail.
The peak itself was really cold – much colder than the trail leading up to it. I wished I had brought gloves because my hands got numb pretty quickly up there. But the view is wonderful!
