We started a bit late (9 am) after getting delayed by road maintenance on the way to the Stinson Beach trailhead. We finished up by 6:30 pm and it was still before sunset, but the last hour or so was a bit nerve-wrecking for me as it slowly got darker. My hiking boots were hurting my toes, so I had to take them off and change into hiking sandals. To avoid injury to my ankles, we chose a longer route back that was a bit flatter. The hike was definitely a hard one, with lots of stairs, steep climbing and scrambling over rocks. I was very glad to have the company of my two friends and do not recommend doing this difficult hike alone.
