I had only 6 days to complete my challenge and no one could join me so I did something I said I would never do…hike alone!  I was pretty nervous about it especially after not encountering anyone for over 2 miles, but then I ran into a few groups closer to the summit and made some new friends too. The trail was lined with lots of thorn bushes and yucca cactus that can scratch you so be careful! Hiking poles are a must!  I really loved this hike and look forward to doing it again with friends next time. It was the perfect weather and the clouds were high enough to see to Catalina Island as well as filter the sun so it wasn't hot.  Beautiful views! I DID IT!!
