Well this was my first time on this trail! First, let me say it’s a good hour drive once you get off Hwy 38 up a very rough 4WD road. Lots of deep ruts and boulders to navigate around. decent parking area. No pit toilets. There are a lot of downed trees that you either have to climb over, crawl around or shimmy under! it’s obviously a less traveled route, and there are a lot of areas where you have to bushwhack through picker bushes! At abt 2.5 miles in there is a decent creek to filter water. About a half mile from the summit the trail ends at a very large patch of icy snow. We were able to scramble up to the right of the snow and get to the peak. we were the only ones on that route while we were there.
