An early morning start after sleeping at the trailhead the night before. I decided to do this route up San Gorgonio as it had the gentlest climb to it. It was a very long day but a pleasant hike. I actually brought overnight gear but as the only water on the whole trail was about 2 miles from the start I decided to just finish rather than overnight at either Fish Creek saddle or elsewhere. I didn't see anyone on the trail on the Fish Creek portion. I saw a couple people on the trail once it joined with the trail from dry lake. The last couple miles were tough as you have to hike all the way around to the other side of San Gorgonio which seems to take forever before finally joining with the Vivian Creek Trail and the hordes of people coming up that route. It was a long day with a 6 am start and finished at 7 pm. I did take my time but did rush at the end so I could drive out the road before dark. Best feeling after several tries at going up San Gorgonio.
