We arrived at the tram at 7:00 a.m. to 98 degree temps. However once we arrived on the mountain temps were very comfortable in the 80's. We planned a two day trip and took our time getting to camp. We arrived at camp at 11:00, set up camp and took some time to rest. We decided to summit in the evening rather than the next morning. Leaving the campground around 2:00 pm we made the peak about 5:00 pm. It was nice because we basically had the peak to ourselves. While there was a threat of scattered thunderstorms we were lucky enough to have great weather both days. We made it back to camp about 7:00 pm, had our dinner and turned in early. The next morning was an easy (but hot) 2.5 miles. So far this has been my favorite peak. I love the dense forest and the incline was not too intense. The only draw back was having to carry water for a two day trip. Would definitely do this one again!
