Of our six peaks, Flatiron was definitely the most challenging. More than half of the hike was bouldering, including a fairly challenging climb towards the end. The trail was very easy to lose along the way. The advice that others gave to us and I’ll give to you is to stay left all the way up through the canyon as you navigate to the top.
Plan for lots of water and head out early to avoid the heat. If you were not used to bouldering, it will take you much longer than a hike on a trail. I brought climbing gloves and was glad I had them.
