We went on this day to celebrate our fellow hiking friends birthday. When I pulled up to the parking lot I couldn't see Flat Iron there was so much fog. It was so beautiful. The trail to get to the fun part, which to me is where the canyon begins, is not that exciting. Once to reach where to see the welcome sign you are in for a treat. The Siphon Draw trail is rocky and doesn't have great elevation. It brings you to a beautiful waterfall. I don't think it is always there. Then the real climbing begins. Flat rock straight up. Then bouldering. The arrows on the rocks kept us on the trail. There definitely were some tricky parts but that's what makes it exciting. When we are it to the top it was so foggy and cold. It actually started to snow! What a magical moment I thought. We sang to our dear friend and ate some cookies to celebrate. We were up there for about 20 mins and the snow stopped and it cleared up so I was able to take beautiful pictures. I will do this hike again definitely!!!
