Usually, I hike solo, but I invited a friend, and he was not in shape but he thought he was up for the challenge so the hike took about 3-4 hours longer than if I would have completed it solo. The beginning of the hike starts out nice with the woods being a beautiful canopy. The beginning of the trail tends to stay busy with hikers doing shorter routes. The trail tends to have a gradual incline. Once we were about half-way to the summit, the fog started to roll in. The higher we got, the worse the fog would be. There was not snow until 2 miles before the peak. The snow we easy and did not require microspikes but my partner did use poles. Once on top of the peak, things were not visible unless they were in a six-foot vicinity. The scenery was beautiful, and I absolutely loved the snow and fog. I am a little impatient and did hate that my friend slowed me down so much. This was my last peak of the challenge and overall, it is an awesome hike.
