Did a solo hike at Volcan Mountain, for peak #2. Started around 8:15am and ended before 11am. It was cold and foggy most of the morning. Took Five Oaks up and the road down. I highly recommend this way as the trail is single-track and has more to see.
Most of the hike was empty and I pretty much had the trail to myself. Listening to the birds and other wildlife, watching the fog start to burn off it felt magical. Coming off the summit is when I started to see many people and dogs hiking up.
Trail was a bit muddy in the shade areas as there was a bit of rain the night before.
