Climbed the first of many hikes needed to complete the dual challenge of SoCal and San Diego. I hiked with my brother, as we decided to take on the challenge even though we aren't avid hikers. It was foggy, which made the hike pleasant weather wise, but unfortunately blocked out the views once we reached higher grounds. The trail was relatively quiet with us passing other hikers only about every 20 to 30 minutes during the trip. The view was interesting, as a lot of the plants seemed to be still dry, and there were trees of sorts down, that seemed to be remnants of a previous fire. Not being an avid hiker did make me take multiple breaks, especially once we were in the last stretch to the peak. However, we made it to the top! We'll have to return when it's not foggy so that we can see the view from above.
