The trail was muddy for about the first mile, but after that it was not bad. By the time we were heading back, the sun had warmed the ground up and the mud was much more manageable. Sadly, the well known dog did not make an appearance. The weather was perfect and the views were amazing from the peak. On the way down I found a cow skull which was the cherry on top!
