I have wanted to do the Franconia Ridge Trail for a long time and my hiking group chose a date and rented an air bnb. The weather looked like a great day. I was a bit nervous because of all the peaks and difficulty of the trail and didn’t know if I was in as good of shape as previous hikes but I was excited. The morning was great hiking up falling waters and the trail was beautiful. We made it up to Little Haystack with some nice views but the clouds were moving in. Unforturnately across a lot of the ridge we were socked in with clouds and very windy. We summited Mount Lincoln, North Lincoln and Mount Lafayette in the clouds with no views. The clouds started to clear as we approached the Green leaf hut and we stopped for a much needed rest at the hut and some great cookies! Pretty views on the way down. Tired and sore after this one but hoping to do it again with better views next time!
