This was my final hike to close out this six pack. I didn’t think I was going to get it done by the end of the year, but a recent loss of a coworker pushed me to get out of my funk and take a day off to get this one done. I got up at 330 in the morning and drove up from Los Angeles. Arriving at the trailhead as the sun was coming up I set out with a cool 28 degrees and slight breeze. This was a really nice rolling hike along the ridgline and a perfect time of year as the cool weather made being completely exposed to the sun made for a comfortable day. I did not see another person the entire hike but did startle quite a few quail. Getting to another highest peak in a new county was an added bonus. It was so satisfying to complete a second challenge for the year with a new set of hikes.
