We did the 11 mile version which included a cool tour of the fire tower (open for visitors!) by a fire ranger. He pointed out active fire in Mexico, and also north-facing, SD peaks. It was 37 degrees at 6:45 am. We did Corte Madeira first (no medallion, sign or sign-in book to be seen) than the fire tower. Bugs and dirt-bikers were annoying. Views most excellent. #6 complete.
